Al Fusco, Owner and Head Cook

Welcome to Blue Moon

Have you ever walked into a place and felt immediately at home? At Blue Moon, that feeling is no coincidence. Owner and cook Al Fusco works hard to make sure when you’re eating his food, you feel good.

Family has always been important to Al, who grew up in a big household full of foodies and cooks. His childhood was filled with delicious Jewish and Italian home-cooked meals, and that’s a tradition he passes on to his three boys, who, along with his wife Betsy, are most likely working or hanging around the Moon today just like you are.

Al has spent his whole life in the kitchen, but please don’t think of him as a chef — he proudly calls himself a cook, simply a lover of food with no classical training. He draws his inspiration from chefs around the world, and his various daily specials often reflect his adventurous palate.

He also attributes his successes to surrounding himself with talented cooks, and relies on them to contribute fresh ideas and perspectives in the kitchen, ensuring you’re always getting the very best version of a recipe.

At Blue Moon, you'll always find great music and amazing artwork, but it's the extra bit of love in each dish that will keep you coming back again and again.
